NSHA Transportation Support

Free Rides to Your Healthcare Appointments

Fundy Taxi is proud to be a local transportation provider for the Nova Scotia Health Authority Transportation Support Program — helping residents of Colchester, Cumberland, and Pictou counties get to the care they need.

What Is the NSHA Transportation Support Program?

Nova Scotia Health's Transportation Support Program removes barriers to healthcare by offering free, non-urgent rides to and from clinical appointments for eligible residents. The program was established in response to the Mass Casualty Commission's recommendations to support mental health and wellness in affected communities. Fundy Taxi is one of the local transportation companies working with Public Health to deliver this service.

Who Is Eligible?

All residents of Colchester, Cumberland, and Pictou counties and the Municipality of East Hants are eligible to use this service. There is no screening process — Public Health trusts that people who request support genuinely need it. Anyone 16 years of age or older may use the service independently.
